We had a very good experience with Joan Chia from Ray of Joy. Our kid was experiencing some form of speech delay, and was referred to her by our Pediatrician. Joan is very experienced and was able to illicit interest and responses in communication. The center is well-equipped with the right toys to keep him interested and engaged for the entire session. After the first 2 sessions, we know our kid is on the right track. We can see that she uses a framework for us to practice with him outside of therapy i.e. via songs and play. We eventually saw a spurt in vocabulary in around the 7th session. We are very thankful for the experience we have here, and will continue to follow up as his speech and language skills develop.

Xing Rui has been seeing my daughter Leia with the therapy goals of developing her conversation, social, assertiveness and inferencing skills. Xing Rui has been kind, engaging, and uses a child led, developmental approach and seamlessly blends in her therapy goals into whatever activities are chosen, which takes great skill 😍. Leia has been more confident in verbalising and has been able to use the assertiveness and conversation skills she learnt from the sessions, applying it to real life situations because of the way that Xing Rui had designed the role play activities. Xing Rui consistently closes each session with coaching me in supporting my child and this helps me feel empowered 🥹 Thank you Xing Rui ❤️

Joan has been absolutely incredible in helping my son with his speech development! She creates fun and engaging games and techniques to help him to correct his speech and also tailored a plan for us to practice at home. Her method of positive reinforcements and rewards, have helped my son stay interested and engaged, so he doesn't find it a chore to practice when we are at home. Joan is not only highly skilled with many years of experience, but also patient, kind, and excellent at keeping parents informed throughout the process and following up to see how he is progressing. My son never wants to leave her sessions and will always ask to go back! If you're looking for a wonderful kids' speech therapist, you know who to look for.

We've had a great experience with Ray of Joy Therapy. Our son has delayed speech and is a Gestalt Language Processor, which means his speech development is quite different from most kids. After trying a few other places, this was the first place that truly understood our son's needs and tailored a targeted approach for him. XingRui served as a speech therapist for several of my students. In the two years that she worked with them, I observed the children looking forward to their weekly intervention sessions with her. She is a sincere therapist who adapts her sessions to meet each student's unique needs and comfort level. In one memorable instance, I saw XingRui meet my student's preference by joining him at a counter—rather than at the usual table and chair setup—as they worked together on speech sounds. For another student, he would occasionally tear up when faced with challenging tasks, including during speech corrections. And even though the therapy targeted the very areas he found difficult, he still looked forward to his weekly therapy sessions because of the strong rapport XingRui had developed with him. Her compassion, professionality and adaptability to different students' needs make her an effective speech therapist.

I had the pleasure of working with XingRui, and I can honestly say it's been an enlightening experience. Scheduling therapy sessions with her was seamless and she truly understood and met the needs of the school and most importantly the students she worked with. XingRui was attentive to the needs of the students and gave breaks when they needed one. She also made the sessions fun and engaging for her clients based on their interest. She also provided me and the teachers with valuable tools (posters) and tips to help with the students during their day to day activities. She always made her students feel safe and comfortable.

My daughter has been seeing Annie for the past few months and we are so happy with the progress she has made so far.
