XingRui is a passionate speech therapist who believes in empowering every child to find their unique voice. She has worked extensively across various settings, including hospitals, mainstream and special needs schools, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of the challenges faced by children with different abilities. She is also adept at creating inclusive, supportive resources and environments where children can fully participate and thrive. XingRui holds a Master of Speech and Language Pathology from Curtin University. Her expertise spans a wide range of areas, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), phonological and articulation disorders, stuttering, social skills, Developmental Language Disorders (DLD) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She has experience working with children with various neurodevelopmental conditions, including dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and developmental coordination disorder (DCD). As a fluent speaker of both English and Mandarin, XingRui brings cultural sensitivity that helps bridge communication gaps for diverse families. XingRui's innovative approach to therapy includes developing tele-practice guidelines for Speech And Language Therapy Singapore (SALTS) and pioneering new articulation approaches, ensuring children can access quality support in ways that best suit their needs. Her dedication to professional growth and evidence-based practice is evident in her training in various therapeutic approaches, including the Orton-Gillingham Approach, Social Thinking, PROMPT, and the Lidcombe Program.
Fun Fact: Beyond her clinical work, XingRui has co-authored books and presented at international conferences, always seeking to expand her knowledge to better serve her clients and their families!
