Shu Zhen is an occupational therapist who believes in the power of empowering those closest to the child ā caregivers and educators! With over 15 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, she works in hospital-based pediatric clinic and school settings, supporting children with a wide range of developmental needs. Throughout her career, Shu Zhen has maintained a strong focus on empowering families and promoting meaningful, individualized care. She has a special interest in early intervention, self-regulation, and pediatric sleep challenges. Shu Zhen works closely with caregivers and educators to embed strategies into daily routines, helping children thrive at home, in school, and in the community. She also conducts training sessions for parents and professionals, equipping them with practical tools to support developmental progress. Currently, Shu Zhen is an adjunct lecturer at NIEC teaching Learning Support Facilitators on modules such as social skills and fine motor skills. Shu Zhen holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and brings extensive experience in working with children with diverse developmental needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and global developmental delays.
